Wharfedale Evo4.2

With the EVO4 series, Wharfedale includes an AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter in the design.

Wharfedale EVO4.2 is a compact three-way speaker that produces layers of luxurious detail, with excellent midrange, and sonorous bass. Endowed with technology from Wharfedale's Elysian flagship, it can fill an entire room with rich, colorful sound that belies its size.

A 6.5-inch, bidirectional, black-woven Kevlar cone woofer incorporates a naturally self-damping material that reduces and distributes resonances to extremely low levels.

A fixed, profiled phase plug ensures smooth acoustic roll-off that enables the drivers to seamlessly mesh with EVO 4.2's specially designed Air Motion Transformer tweeter and two-inch silk midrange driver.

EVO4.2's crossover uses a custom-designed Computer Aided Optimization technology from extensive listening tests, Wharfedale engineers carefully fine-tuned the crossover to the point that EVO 4.2 achieves balanced integration of its driver, woofer, and tweeter – allowing the speaker to practically disappear and draw your attention to the music program at hand.

Wharfedale Evo4.4

Evo4.4 provides the same features as the 4.2 with a very fine, articulated bass.

This speaker has an outstanding sonic performance: there are a pair of 6.5-inch, bidirectional, black-woven Kevlar cone woofers. They incorporate a naturally self-damping material that reduces and distributes resonances to extremely low levels.
